Over the past decade, an enormous amount of reasearch has been
conducted into the country's sex industry, but alas, little has been accessible
to the general public.
Each state has it own rules. In the past Victoria's industry
was of an illegal nature, depriving its service providers of benefits akin to
those of most other employees.
Fortunately the bureaucrats have had to concede that sex work
is a legitimate avenue of employement.
However, it is important to note that
unlike other industries, brothels cannot employ service providers - they are
